From requirement to manufacturable part
Custom work may begin with a controlled drawing, a 3D model, an existing sample, or a functional requirement. GND coordinates clarification of dimensions, tolerances, material, surface treatment, sample quantity, and expected production volume with the relevant manufacturing partner.
The current source material includes low-pass parts, connecting or transmission rods, connector components, and other turned metal items. Final naming and technical scope should follow the customer’s drawing and the manufacturer’s confirmed process route.
Review points
Critical dimensions, tolerance stack, surface finish, plating, material certificates, inspection method, packaging, and change control should be identified before quotation approval.
Documentation still required
Confirmed machining envelope, achievable tolerances by feature, approved materials, plating partners, inspection equipment, sample lead time, MOQ, and batch traceability remain pending supplier confirmation.
